In age 11, I founded SaMi to provide greater access to STEM education to all students from different backgrounds, experiences, and cultural perspectives.
I started SaMi from ground zero. Now we have 3239 students from 279 schools, 144 tutors, 3278 free sessions of class, 22 national chapters and three international chapters, and 1230 scholarships for families with low socioeconomic status.
The Summer@SaMi Free Summer Camp is a three-week summer camp for students with low socioeconomic status. In 2020, I organized the largest online summer camp in Texas to fight against the COVID-19 summer slide.
The annual conference celebrates and recognizes the inclusion, diversity, and equity of SaMi community members.
We have awarded the 1230 Casting Your Future Scholarship to students with low socioeconomic status to support their school and online learning.
The Mathronauts awards are given to high achieving students for their dedication and hard work on math.
SaMi provides high school volunteers with training and professional development workshops to help them become better at planning their time and staying organized. Eventually, SaMi tutors are subject experts for the topics they teach.
